Nah, I hate to say it because I'm a
fan of Carl Sagan, but his nuclear
winter theory has been sorta
discreditted. I'm no expert on the
subject, but from what I've been able
to gather I doubt that Saddam's
environmental terrorism would effect
us much here. Unfortunately, it is
going to have some mafjjorly adverse
effects in the Middle East.

After all, we were the one's who kicked them out of their country to give
it to the jews in the first place (using the same reasoning that Iraq used
in justifying taking Kuwait -- history had shown that the land had always
belonged to the jews--)

Actaually we didn't take the West
Bank from the Palestinians. In the
1930's and early 1940's a tremendous
amount of European Jews immigrated to
Palestine (mostly because of the
anti-semitism in Europe).
Unfortunately, The Arabs became
violent towards the Jews...and there
was considerable bloodshed.
Eventually the U.N. moved in and
divided Palestine into the Jewish
half and the Islamic half. The
Palestinians were quite chagrinned at
this so they attacked the Jewish
half, the Jews fought back and took
over the Palestinian half. That's
the simplified version of how Israel
formed.
I think that the West Bank and the
Gaza Strip should be given to the
Palestinians some day before the end
of the century, but this shouldn't be
done until the Arabs can promise that
they won't continue to torment,
attack, and terrorize the Jews in
Israel.

I really don't think that the guy is
nearly as bad as the press makes him
out to be.
He's done an excellent job as veep,
he is experienced in governement, he
IS more experienced then Ronald
Reagan, and he did okay in the veep
debates of 1988. Unfortunately, the
press has made him out to be a moron
because he isn't a great public
speaker (atleast as far as
politician's go)....
It's really too bad.
